ABM was invited to work with our clients on their home extension project in Horsham, West Sussex.
Both clients have demanding professions and wanted a company that could handle the entire process of designing, building, and managing their home extension.
Working with just one company enabled them to concentrate on other essential things in their lives without interruptions. Of course, they were in total control throughout the entire process. Regular meetings were scheduled to ensure the home extension project met its deadline and stayed within budget.
The original home consisted of
a spacious 3-bedroom detached house built in the 1950s, with a small kitchen, separate dining room, and a garage unsuitable for parking a car.
Our client’s wants were to create
a large kitchen/breakfast room along with that must have snug to the ground floor along with a master bedroom ensuite walk in wardrobe to the first floor. Additionally, a comprehensive refurbishment was required to achieve their ideal home.

Planning permission
Due to the size of the house extension, including a change to the principle elevation, planning permission was required. However, after several meeting with Horsham planning department, we achieved planning permission without compromising our client’s vision.

The home extension included
a full-width rear elevation extension extending outwards by 5 meters, the main bulk of the extension was focused around a large kitchen extension that has be come a must have for entertaining, leading directly off the kitchen the breakfast area enabled the zones to flow effortlessly a further zone was created that became a snug / seating area to relax next to the garden.
A separate lounge provided a perfect retreat away from all the hustle and bustle along with a home office. Underfloor heating was laid throughout the ground floor including herringbone LVT flooring, which beautifully merged the modern and traditional styles of the home.
To the first floor, we created a large master bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe/spacious en-suite, and family bathroom. A comprehensive refurbishment brought the complete concept together.
Overall, our clients were delighted with the results of the project. They now have a stunning home that meets their needs and exceeds their expectations.
