Complete refurbishment of this detached family home, including a single-storey rear elevation kitchen extension and loft conversion creating a large master bedroom walk-in wardrobe plus ensuite.
The Clients Requirements
The clients were happy living in their home and wanted to avoid moving; they had been living there for some 15 years; the house was perfect when they first moved in; however, the way we use our homes has changed dramatically; the larger kitchen/snug, along with a spacious master bedroom, was a must-have.
Planning
We wanted to avoid having to apply for planning permission because planning can be somewhat unpredictable, even if you tick all the boxes.

What was achieved
We extended outwards to the ground floor to the rear elevation, creating a sizeable single-storey kitchen extension. To help maximise the free flow of light, we included within the design large folding doors along with a glass apex roof.
We designed and installed a bespoke kitchen with a breakfast seating area that flowed onto the dining room.
The loft space was converted into a master bedroom along with a walk-in wardrobe/four-piece ensuite.
Underfloor heating and an intelligent lighting system were incorporated into the design, including a complete refurbishment.
